TeXBB Support

TeXBB pairs a Windows computer and an Android phone on the same private network. No TeXBB account is required.

Connect your phone

1. Install and open TeXBB on Windows.
2. Open Settings → Mobile Viewer and turn on Connect with phone.
3. Open the Connect installed app QR code.
4. Scan it with the phone's camera and approve replacing an older pairing if prompted.
5. Keep both devices on the same private network for the first synchronization.

After the secure-connection update

Older HTTP pairings are intentionally not reused. Update both apps, scan a new QR code once, and then the secure pairing remains available across ordinary app, phone, computer, and router restarts. Existing offline documents remain on the phone until a new snapshot replaces them or the app data is cleared.

Common checks

• Use current Windows and Android versions of TeXBB.
• Confirm both devices can reach the same private Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or approved VPN network.
• Allow TeXBB through Windows Firewall on private networks.
• If the PC TLS identity was removed or Windows was reset, create a new pairing.
• Do not share a pairing QR publicly; its invitation expires quickly and can be used only once.
